You Are Loved & Not Forgotten

For the past 10 years, we have been baking Christmas cookies and giving gifts to the community during the Christmas season. Back in 2010, one of our board members, La Tascha Brown, was deeply burdened by those who were down-and-out during the holiday season. For many, this time of year reminds them of a lost loved one, a bad divorce, a broken family, no family, or their poverty and inability to provide for their family. The Christmas season holds some of the highest suicide rates of the year. How much more this year with our teens during COVID-19! We could really use your help.

This year, we’ll be decking out our truck and traveling to various neighborhoods singing Christmas carols and handing out presents and cookies, tagged with our touching message of hope and love. We also plan out putting on a Christmas play expressing the true meaning of Christmas. We want people to know they are thought of and not forgotten. For many, this will be the only gift or visit they receive this Christmas.
